About Teletriage
Our Teletriage Model

What is Teletriage?
Teletriage is a collection of means or methods for enhancing health care, public health and health education delivery and support using telecommunications technologies. Teletriage encompasses a broad variety of technologies and tactics to deliver virtual medical, health, and education services. Teletriage is not a specific service, but a collection of means to enhance care and education delivery.
What is a Triage Nurse?
A telephone triage nurse is a nursing professional that helps patients determine what type of care they need over the phone. They often provide a cursory assessment of the patients and help them decide if they need to seek emergency treatment, make an appointment with a doctor, or treat themselves at home.
GBUAHN and GBUACO are embarking on a system that puts health care literally in the hands of their patients.
Pioneering what is to come in the world of medicine, the two organizations will be utilizing Teletriage – which consists of a remote medical exam that imitates an in-office visit.
With Teletriage, doctors, patient health navigators, and everyone involved in a patient’s care can efficiently work together, each in their location, speeding up an episode of care and helping to avoid unnecessary emergency room and urgent care visits.
